Exhibition_Different Shapes of Voids

At the Ålgården Gallery in Borås, Sweden, an exhibition of works by TUL Associate Professor Katarzyna Zimna, PhD, has been opened on the 12th of October 2024. Professor Katarzyna Zimna participated in the short-term staff exchange program of the “Sustainable Industrial Design of Textile Structures for Composites” project in March and April 2023 at the Swedish School of Textiles, University of Borås. Her research focused on nonwovens and composites based on hemp fibers, which can be used not only for technical purposes but also as materials with design and artistic potential. The exhibition entitled “Different Shapes of Voids” consists of a set of works created in Borås or inspired by this stay: graphics made with relief printing techniques and works using innovative hemp-based nonwovens and composites.
