From June 19th to 21st, 2023, we had the great pleasure of participating in an inspiring scientific conference, ICNF 2023, the 6th International Conference on Natural Fibers, in Madeira, Portugal.
The conference focused on the latest scientific achievements and innovative solutions in the field of natural fibers. There were many interesting presentations and discussions on the latest research and discoveries. The conference was also an excellent opportunity to establish new contacts.
Conference attendees had the chance to learn about our project, SustDesignTex, thanks to a poster presentation titled "Sustainable Industrial Design of Textile Structures for Composites Project," prepared by Agata Poniecka and Marcin Barburski.
During the conference, Agata Poniecka delivered an oral presentation on "Analysis of the Effect of Embroidery Density on the Strength of the Composite Containing Technical Embroidery Made of Flax Fibers as Reinforcement." Nawar Kadi presented several poster presentations, including "Finola Hemp: Fiber Extraction from Crops Intended for Grain Production" and "Increasing the Spinnability of Recycled Denim Fibers with Spin Finish Treatment." Also, together with Mikael Skrifvars, they presented a poster titled "Valorization of Lignin in Bio-Composite Production.
